Hair consultations are complementary and typically last an hour. The consultation enables us to show you a range of hair pieces or wigs while giving you the opportunity to chat with our experts about your hair goals. We have private consultation rooms, and we stock over a thousand wigs and hairpieces in our shop. Many of our clients have alopecia or thinning hair and are looking for suggestions on appropriate hair pieces that seem natural and similar to their own. What Leads to Hair Loss or Thinning Hair in Women?

Women of all ages commonly experience hair loss. Up to 40% of women will have visible hair loss at some point in their life, despite the fact that it is more common in men. Numerous causes, including genetics, stress, hormonal changes, and medical disorders, can contribute to hair thinning.

1. Genetics: Hair loss is largely influenced by genetics. Androgenetic alopecia, the most typical type of hair loss in women, is brought on by a confluence of hormones and genetics. This kind of hair loss typically develops gradually and can begin as early as a woman's adolescence. A receding hairline, thinning hair on the head, and increasing hair loss are its defining features.

2. Stress: One of the leading factors in hair loss in women is stress. Stress causes the body to release hormones that may cause the hair follicles to enter a resting phase, which may result in hair shedding and thinning. Stress can also result in poor diet, which can also be a factor in hair loss.

3. Hormonal Changes: Hair loss can also result from hormonal changes, such as those brought on by menopause, pregnancy, or the use of specific drugs. High hormone levels during pregnancy may cause the hair follicles to enter a resting period, increasing hair loss. Similar hormone changes brought on by menopause may result in hair loss. 4. Medical Disorders: Polycystic ovarian syndrome, anemia, and thyroid disease are a few examples of conditions that can cause hair loss. In addition, several drugs, including those for depression and arthritis, can make you lose your hair.

Although hair loss can cause dissatisfaction and insecurity, it's vital to keep in mind that there are solutions available. It is crucial to discuss your hair loss with your doctor in order to identify the underlying cause and the most appropriate course of action.
